PS4 and Xbox One Minecraft coming sooner than expected?

You may not have to wait ages for the next-gen versions of Minecraft to come, as it will arrive on Xbox One and PS4 very soon. 4J Studios – the developers behind the console versions – are giving out teasers on different editions, assuming that the core gameplay is indeed working with some bugs to iron out.

A tweet was posted earlier on March, as it represents gameplay from two Playstation versions shown on screens, even though it was meant to display two cuddly plush toys…

However, 4J Studios soon responded to the person’s question, confirming that the top screen is actually from the PS4 version

Technology website CultureMob has been following their progress closely, and assumes that the release date for PS4 version ‘may’ be revealed during the arrivial of the Title Update 14 for the Xbox 360 and PS3 versions. They made a few reports there, speculating on the arrival of the forthcoming edition and claiming that it will feature enhanced textures and bigger worlds.

The Xbox One edition, which was revealed during Microsoft’s E3 2013 conference, is also in development. The evidence is found in one of 4J Studio’s tweets, where it shows gameplay from the Microsoft’s latest console. If you look closely at the top screen, you’ll notice the unusual buttons on the bottom left, which seems to represent the face buttons on the Xbox One controller.

This adds to the excitement that the Xbox One and PS4 versions are starting to get completed, and they don’t need to be built entirely from scratch. This tweet below confirms that both of them will share the same code as the Xbox 360 version, meaning they won’t fall behind.

More details will be published on the PS4 and Xbox One versions, which may come after their official announcement from Mojang. However, it’s currently quiet on the PS Vita version front, as not much information has been given out in the recent months. We’ve contacted 4J Studios for any news and we are currently waiting for a response.

In other Minecraft Console news, the PS3 version will be receiving a couple of texture packs soon, and they are currently getting their skin packs approved by Mojang and Sony.

There’s also a teaser screenshot, showing off the possible Playstation-exclusive skins of Nathan Drake and Sly Cooper.
