The Map of Great Britain, Re-Created in Minecraft

Ordnance Survey,  a famous British service for the provision of maps, has managed to re-create almost all of the lands of the UK in Minecraft. Summer Intern ‘Joseph Braybook’ has used the company’s OS Opendata software, to re-create the entire map of 86,000 square miles for the game in two weeks. It resulted in a map that contains over 22 billion blocks, although sadly it doesn’t contain any buildings, nor the places of the Channel Islands, Isle of Man and Ireland. [...]
